'Impossible' things before breakfast!!

'Impossible' things before breakfast!!

Around 5:00 a.m., this morning, I was in the middle of my 8th game of Sudoku on my cell phone when I was rudely interrupted by a sudden movement on the other side of the bed. A voice emerged from within the darkness, and here's the conversation as it unfolded!

Mark: I've been thinking...

Alan: Uh oh...

Mark: I think we should go to the Dollarama and get two knives, two forks, and two spoons ready for our trip to Newfoundland...

Alan: OK....?

Mark: ...then we could stay on track with our Keto eating plan because I read that some fast food outlets will sell a burger with cheese and lettuce, without a bread roll, and we could enjoy them without using the plastic implements they provide.

Alan: (Laughing)  I know someone who's really excited about our trip out East!

Mark: (cutely whining) You are, too!

Alan: Anyway, we've already got those things in our camping gear, so we could take them with us.

Mark:  Oh, yeah!

Alan: Now you can sleep soundly, knowing that our cutlery needs will have been met!

Mark: Put that phone down and get over here so I can snuggle you!

Alan: (begrudgingly - NOT!!) OK.

After a few minutes, the silence is broken, once again.

Alan: I've just had a thought!

Mark: What now?

Alan: Why don't we drive up north and look for moose as dawn begins to break?

Mark: What... NOW??

Alan: Why not?

Mark: Better still, why don't we walk into town, have a coffee at McDonald's, and walk back? That way, we'll get our exercise in, and any extra walking we do will be a bonus.

Alan: OK. Let's go.

It's a round trip of about 7 km, and we enjoyed our walk, even though it was -9 degrees Celsius. The morning was fresh, with no wind, so the temperature was stable.

We talked about our travel plans, about the memories we had already accumulated, and how lucky we were to have so many friends here, in town, as well as beyond.

I was reminded of Alice in Wonderland, where she said,

It's amazing what can be accomplished before breakfast - and even more amazing that it all started with knives and forks!

I love living my life with a hubby who is just as crazy as I am!!

Now, back to my Sudoku!
